Healthy Recipe: After Workout Bars
You can lose weight over 40!
2 cups oats (flakes)
1 T. Flaxseed
4 scoops protein powder (vanilla seems to work best)
1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
1/2 cup water
This is a perfectly balanced snack of protein carbohydrates and fat.
*variations*
You can add in chopped walnuts and craisins. If you do just adjust the water amount.
- 2 cups oats (flakes)
- 1 T. Flaxseed
- 4 scoops protein powder (vanilla seems to work best)
- ½ cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
- ½ cup water
- Mix all of that together, put in a 9x9 glass pan lined with wax paper.
- Freeze for 30 minutes.When you take it out of the freezer let it sit on the counter for 15 minutes or so.
- Remove the wax paper and cut the bars into even squares.
